1. Coming from Pan
American Highway (Roosevelt Blvd), going towards the airport/Marriott Hotel
To get to house continue straight on Blvd Liberacion (the extension of the Pan Am hway-
Roosevelt BLVD). Careful after you
pass the Trebol (cloverleaf) and go under the RR bridge towards the Obelisco
you stay almost to the right as the road seems to head over a
curving overpass. The furthest right lane goes to the
airport. The Two lanes left of the
airport lane heads towards the Obelisco. Both the Obelisco and airport lanes
stay on level ground at this divergence.
The two Obelisco - Proceres lanes in a few hundred meters heads up
over an overpass and then drops down on Blvd Liberacion. Keep going straight on
the left lane all the way to the obelisco
at Av Reforma and go down the underpass-tunnel under the Obelisco onto
BLVD Proceres and continue straight towards the Salvador Hway.
Once on Blvd Proceres things are better. After a couple of km it
changes into the Salvador H'way, where it starts to curve uphill up the fault
scarp. In about a km or two going up hill you exit to the right on the Vista
Hermosa exit. After curving thru the underpass,
the lanes merge going slightly uphill and you burst forward on
Blvd Visa Hermosa. Get to the right lane as soon as possible (the two left
lanes get congested; then move to the left lane) as you go two long blocks past
a skyscraper, the first corner with a Mormon church and gasoline station and then next long
block, the Metro15 shopping center, which is 23 Av, Vista Hermosa 1.Turn right
here and go uphill 700 m to where the street curves sharply and a brick 5 story building on the corner. Turn
right into this cul de sac and the
third house down on the right esta su casa, 23 Av. 7-76, VH 1.
2. If you are on Avenida Reforma
If you end up on the Reforma, head north to the old military
school on the right, more or less 2 Calle, zone 10. This is about 2 km N of the
Obelisco, past the US embassy. There might be signs saying Vista Hermosa. Turn
right, ( east) and keep going with the traffic down and up a hill and on
towards the Salvador hway. About several hundred meters or a km past the large
Centro Comercial Vistra Hermosa (Paiz) on the right you will see the Metro 15
shopping mall across the Blvd. A block further east you will see the gas
station and Mormon church on the corner. My advice is to continue another long block, to nearly the
end of the Blvd where it joins up with the Salvador Hway interchange. Short of
the interchange and bridge, in front of
that skyscraper across the road, you can
make the U turn back to Metro 15 and 23 Av., where you go up the gentle hill and turn into the cul de sac where 23 av turns to go back down hill. The ugly brick building on the corner will show you the way to 23 Av. 7-76, VH1, which is 3 houses from the corner.
