Camera Setup
After attaching the AS-E900 adapter, turn the flash to the
ON position and set the flash
mode to TTL.
The flash should not be set to the stand-by mode
(i.e., STBY); otherwise, it may
turn off unexpectedly. If it is possible, the illumination angle
should be set to 28mm or wider.
Now you have two choices. You can either allow the external flash (or both
flashes) to fire. Or, you can turn off the internal flash and only use the
external one. To turn off (i.e., disable) the internal flash,
follow the procedure below:
- Turn the Mode Dial to
M-REC.
- Press the MENU
button to bring up the menu.
- Use W or
T to go through
the first menu and bring up the second one. Then, move to the
SETUP item.
- Press the shutter release and a new menu appears.
- In this setup menu, if
CONTROLS
does not have a check mark, it means no control options are set
(left image below). Otherwise, some control options have been
set (right image below).
Use W
or T to move to
item CONTROLS,
and press the shutter release.
- The CONTROL
menu appears. In this menu, if
INTFLASH has a check
mark, it means the internal flash is on (left image below).
Otherwise, the internal flash is off (right image below). Use
W or
T to move to
INTFLASH.
- If this item is checked, the internal flash is disabled and will not
fire. Otherwise, press the shutter release button to select this
item. This will make item
INTFLASH checked.
- Press the MENU
to bail out.
To enable the internal flash, follow the above procedure to uncheck the
INTFLASH item.
