Short Bio: Dr. Zhaohui Wang received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 2013, and joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Michigan Technological University since then. Her research is in the areas of signal processing, wireless communications and networking, with recent focus on signal processing and machine learning for underwater wireless communication networks. She co-authored the first book on OFDM for underwater acoustic communications. Dr. Wang received the 2013 Women of Innovation Award in Collegian Innovation and Leadership by Connecticut Technology Council, the 2014 Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Award from the University of Connecticut, the Outstanding Service Award from the tenth ACM WUWNET conference in 2015, and the 2018 Achievement Award from the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems at Michigan Tech. She was selected as an Outstanding Reviewer by the Editorial Board of IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering in 2012, 2013-2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018, respectively. Dr. Wang is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award in 2017.
