Earth System Science

Books

There are 4 books required for each course. Some are normal college textbooks, and some are mass market. Below you will find a complete list of the books used for the ESS courses.

Notes: The college textbooks are NOT the newest editions! We did this to hopefully minimize your cost.

"The Earth System" will be used in both ESS I & II.

If you buy your books used online through Amazon, I would strongly recommend checking for those marked "Fulfillment by Amazon" if you go through the Amazon Marketplace. Otherwise, look for sellers that have many, very positive reviews. Some students buy the cheapest used book they find, but end up waiting weeks for them to arrive.
