In addition to signage at special access points (such as the Houghton Waterfront Park), we recommend that a simple indentifying sign be placed just outside the entrance of the Wal-Mart parking lot. It is a highly trafficked site and one of the few locations where the creek can be seen from the road. Students with the Bridge Alternative School have already designed and produced a sign for the waterfront park that identifies the creek as part of the Huron Creek watershed.
