CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

Developing the Huron Creek Watershed Management Plan

The main objective of considering cultural and historical perservation is to identify, maintain, and promote that watershed's unique qualities, which will help to foster the community's awareness of the watershed.   The actions recommended in this section are designed to:

  • Preserve important aspects of the watershed's cultural heritage, especially that associated with mining.
  • Maintain the watershed in a way that allows residents and visitors to view it pleasently, interact with it safely, and recognize it easily.
  • Provide accessible places to the natural environment in support of this overall goal.
