STREAM CONDITIONS: CREEK SOURCE TO FORMER HURON LAKE

Developing the Huron Creek Watershed Management Plan

This portion of the creek begins at its source in the southwest portion of the watershed and ends at the inlet of the former Huron Lake.   In this section, the main creek channel is not always distinguishable as flow originates from, and passes through several wetland areas.   The majority of this area is undisturbed and not in close proximity to any commercial or residential areas.   The nearest impacted area is a gravel pit that is located ¼ to ½ mile east of the creek and Green Acres Road.
