STREAM CONDITIONS: CANAL ROAD TO PORTAGE

Developing the Huron Creek Watershed Management Plan

This section of the stream begins at the exit of two culverts that pass under Canal Road, and ends at the mouth of Huron Creek at the Portage Canal.   Immediately after the creek exits the culverts, it passes through an old stone channel that is a remnant of historical industrial activities at that location.   Between there and the mouth, the creek flows through the Houghton waterfront park.
