MANAGING WATER QUALITY: OBJECTIVES

Developing the Huron Creek Watershed Management Plan

 

Water quality in the stream is important for creating habitats for plants and animals and to ensure that people can safely interact with the stream.   The objectives assocaited with managing water quality include:

 

  • Maintaining standards associated with full body contact.
  • Promoting a healthy habitat for plants and animals.
  • Monitoring the quality of the creek to allow early detection and action or problems as they arise.
  • Educating the community on the importance of stream water quality.
