  "Former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat

in the face of societal oppression."

My Comments:

Just for a change of pace and mood from
the previous films we showed... this film
is more of a lighter mood.  It is based on
real-life events in which India was able
to win the first time in the Commewealth
  games for women wrestling.

The film goes through the standard format
similar to Rocky, but with some melodrama
peppered in.  So, the film is a little
predictable, but it is still very well made
  and manages to remain suspenseful.

As a Bollywood film, it does have some music
included, but with less dancing than usual. It
does however focus on the wrestling sport.

Aamir Khan was quite devoted to the film
that he gained so much weight as well as
trained later to have a wrestler's body. The
female actors were also very good and believable
in their roles as olympic-level wrestlers.

  Hope you can join.
