Hello
everyone,
Please note: movie will be on a Tuesday this week.
For this Tuesday, just to switch it up a little,
we are showing a Finnish comedy "Hevi Reissu (Heavy Trip)", directed
by Juuso Laatio and Jukka Vidgren (more details below).
Definitely a screwball comedy from Finland. (I don't
think Finlandia U would be showing this film anytime soon...
but who knows).
Please feel free to pass the message around and
invite your friends. Hope you can join us.
Regards,
Tom Co

Summary:
"Turo (25) is trying to overcome his fears
by leading the most unknown heavy metal
band in Finland, Impaled Rektum, to the
hottest metal festival of Norway..."
My Comments:
Definitely a screwball and crazy comedy.
I think it is focuing on a marginalized
group of friends who just love to make
their type of music. So it is really
about heart... and silliness.
Of course, if heavy metal is not your thing,
you might have to bear listening to some
of it - but because the band is so sincere
with their pursuit of "art?", it was charming.
Hope you can come join and have fun.
