Hello everyone,
Happy 4th of July!
We are easing our way back to face-to-face film showing. In order
to be cautious about the delta-variant COVID, we would like to invite
those who are fully vaccinated to join us for this Wednesday's showing.
This Wednesday, we are showing an American movie "Minari" directed by
Lee Isaac Chung

My Comments:
A well-made and well acted movie, it is about the struggle of a family
towards the pursuit of a dream. As usual, there is often a debate
about shared values within a family and under what conditions are
sacrifices reasonable or expected. The pace may be slow for some,
but I thought it was good.
I have always been impressed by farmers and farming life...because I
think it is a very difficult and dignified way of life (except for

those growing illegal plants)...but I don't think I have the fortitude
of a farmer. My hat is off to these folks.
