My name is Henry Berghoef, and I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace Engineering at Michigan Technological University. Having lived in various places like Traverse City, Washington DC, and Holland, Michigan, I’ve developed a love for new experiences and exploring different environments.
In my free time, I enjoy playing card games, board games, and video games. I’m passionate about travel and hiking, especially in desert landscapes. I’m always eager to learn, whether through documentaries, solving puzzles, or diving into engineering projects. I also enjoy flying RC airplanes and spending time with friends.
Since middle school, space has been my passion. I love everything related to space exploration, from the engineering behind missions to the history of spaceflight. I’m fascinated by the technology that drives missions like Cassini, Perseverance, and Viking, and I’ve enjoyed learning about attitude determination and control (ADC) systems through my involvement in the Aerospace Enterprise. I believe that humanity is destined for the stars and that space exploration brings tremendous benefits to society.
