Hexagonal growth steps on the basal
plane of graphte. The corners of the larger steps have
very unusual smaller hexagonal steps protruding from
them, reminiscent of snow flakes.
The overall crystal is approximately 0.6-mm across.
Images are taken with Nomarski
Differential Ineterference Contrast microscopy.
