Jean Mayo

Bio

I have been with MTU since the Fall of 1997. I have taught a variety of courses including graduate courses in Distributed Systems and Operating Systems, and undergraduate courses in Operating Systems, Systems Programming, Computer Security, Computer Networks, Formal Models of Computation, and Discrete Structures.

I joined MTU upon receiving my PhD in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary. My graduate studies were supported by several different jobs including lecturer, system administrator, and intern for ICASE at NASA Langley.

I returned to graduate school after working for Newport News Shipbuilding as a mechanical engineer. There I was on the SSN 21 design project, primarily developing real-time simulations and designing control systems.
