Dr. Kreher obtained his PhD from the University of Nebraska
in 1984. He has held academic positions at
Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Wyoming
and Michigan Technological University.
Dr. Kreher has published numerous research papers in the areas
of combinatorics and combinatorial algorithms.
He serves on the editorial boards of two journals.
He is the recipient of the 1995 Marshall Hall Medal, awarded
by the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications.

Dr. Stinson obtained his PhD from the University of Waterloo
in 1981. He has held academic positions at the University of Manitoba
and the University of Nebraska. On July 1, 1998, he became the
NSERC/Certicom Industrial Research Chair in Cryptography, in the
Department of Combinatorics and Optimization at the University
of Waterloo. He is also the managing director of the newly established
Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research at the University
of Waterloo.
Dr. Stinson has published numerous research papers in the areas
of combinatorics, combinatorial algorithms and cryptography.
He is one of the editors-in-chief of
the Journal of Combinatorial Designs, and
serves on the editorial boards of three other journals.
He is the recipient of the 1994 Marshall Hall Medal, awarded
by the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications.
He is the also the author of the popular textbook
"Cryptography Theory and Practice".
