-MTU complies with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding discrimination, including the ADA Act of 1990. If you have a disability and a need, reasonable accomodation for equal access to education or services can be made through the Dean of Stidents Office (Gloria Melton 487-2212). For concerns regarding discrimination of any kind, please contact your advisor, department head, or affirmative actions office.
-Class disruptions will not be tolerated. If you disrupt class, you could be dropped from the class list. Coming into class late or leaving class early are considered disruptions. If you need to come late or leave early, discuss this with the instructor ahead of time.
-Cheating is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Students are expected to follow the rules for academic integrity. See the student handbook or the pamphlet Academic Integrity at MTU: A Guide for Students and Faculty.
-If you know ahead of time that you will have an excused absence from a class or an exam, let the instructor know well ahead of time. If you become sick at the last minute for an exam, let the instructor know as soon as possible by phone, e-mail, or personal contact. Otherwise, no make-up exam will be given.
-It is the student's responsibility to do the work for the class. If you have not done the work, do not expect special treatment. In particular, do not wait until the last minute to ask for help. You should try to keep up with the class material at all times throughout the semester.
-Additional information for classes can be found at the Department of Mathematical Sciences home page.
