Rabbit Island

Rabbit Island (also called Traverse Island) is a remote 90 acre island in Keweenaw Bay off shore of Rabbit Bay. It is the site of an artist community which are summer visitors. The island is underlain by Jacobsville Sandstone and the shape of the island emphasizes the spit.
