This web site provides access to final datasets from the PICO-NARE field station. These data are provided with the understanding that users will acknowledge their source (please email the contact listed below for updated citations) and, if the data form a significant part of the analyses in a paper to be submitted, the PICO-NARE group will be offered coauthorship.
Lists of collaborators who have used these data are included below.

Note on format: Files are provided in .txt and .ict
formats. For information on the .txt files, see the associated
Readme files. The .ict files are in ICARTT format, which is
based on NASA Ames format, and are internally documented.

Collaborators with access to these data (non-PICO-NARE
participants)
Name | Institution | Reference | Species | Purpose | |
G. Pfister | NCAR | pfister@ucar.edu | AGU fall 2004 meeting presentation. | CO, O3, NOx, NOy | Comparisons to MOZART global model simulation of the impacts of the 2004 Alaska/Canada wildfires on CO and O3. |
Jan Eiof Jonson, Anne Gunn Hjellbrekke | EMEP CCC/NILU | anne.hjellbrekke@nilu.no, jan.eiof.jonson@met.no | http://www.nilu.no/ projects/ccc/index.html | CO, O3 | We will use the data for model validation and also to validate/improve our lateral boundary input for the EMEP (regional) model. |
Kenneth Pickering | Dept. of Meteorology, University of Maryland | pickerin@metopc29.umd.edu, 301-405-7639, 301-314-9482 FAX | CO, O3 | We are funded by NASA under an Interdisciplinary Science Investigation to perform chemical transport modeling to examine North American outflow to the North Atlantic and estimate the associated radiative forcing. We are using our stretched-grid CTM, running with 1 deg. horizontal resolution over eastern North America and the western Atlantic and stretching to 4 x 5 deg. resolution on the opposite side of the world. We are doing primarily tropospheric ozone chemistry, and are collaborating with Mian Chin on the aerosol. Our objective is to run simulations for some summers in the past in order to put the results from the Summer 2004 INTEX/ICARTT in perspective. We are starting with a simulation of Summer 2002. |
