Since we didn’t get a chance in class to discuss the last technique for partial fractions, there are two homework problems that you will not be responsible for on the possible Monday quiz. Problems #18 and #19 are the two problems on the homework that use the fourth technique. I will cover this technique on Monday. You are still responsible for these type of problems for the first exam.
After reading the feedback cards, it looks like a majority wishes to continue the quizzes as we have been proceeding. One very good comment I’d like to respond to is how to get your questions answered. You can tell, the pace of 2160 is very fast, so there is little time to squeeze in homework questions during class time. Therefore, you will really need to take the extra time to contact me individually about questions--via office hours, appointments and/or email. I’m serious! Keep me busy with questions. Also note that there is one full day devoted to review before each exam. This will be your chance to ask tons of questions in class. I will just collect a list of questions at the start of that class period and then proceed with solving them. Such a day is coming up on Wednesday, so start working problems and formulating questions. The best way to learn math is to do math.
