Applications of the finite element method to a variety of problems in biomechanics and other areas of mechanical engineering. Computer modeling and simulation of mechanical systems with particular emphasis on vehicle dynamics and design of vehicles for crashworthiness. Also, development of computer aided design methodologies for the optimization of mechanical designs.
