Summer Semester: Participated in the Michigan College/University Partnership Program (MICUP) at MTU and trained two undergraduate students (Chepchumba Kottutt and Ronald Kamgang) from Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Rapids, MI.
Participated in the summer youth ECOTEK Program at MTU, Houghton, MI. The program provides students ages 10 to 17 with the opportunity to work on science projects. I hosted a high school student (William Marshall) to participate in the ongoing research in the lab.
Spring Semester: CH5900: Chemistry Graduate Seminar: I gave one hour lecture on how to critically read a research paper. (Course supervisor: Dr. Patricia Heiden).
CH3541: Biophysical Chemistry lab: I gave one hour lecture on how to critically read a research paper. (Laboratory supervisor: Ms. Kelly Smith). I also evaluate students' research paper presentations and provide feedback to them.
CH4721: Research Methods in Biomolecular Chemistry: I hosted two undergraduate students (Tanya Johnson and Christopher Douglas) in lab for 5 weeks of research.
