Experiences Teaching Tens of Thousands Online
As one of the few AI people who has had the opportunity to teach a Massively Open Online Course without creating my own platform to distribute it (Yes, I'm talking to you, Thrun, Ng, Koller, Isbell, and Norvig), I have an odd insider/outside perspective on the whole MOOC phenomenon. I will share what I've learned about this kind of learning about machine learning, highlighting some techniques that have worked particularly well and some that have worked not so well.
